18-YEAR OLD MAN JAILED FOR IDENTITY THEFT

An 18-year old man was jailed for identity theft and related charges following his arrest by Roseburg Police on Saturday.
An RPD report said a 17-year old male was working at a motel on Garden Valley Boulevard when he allegedly took a customer’s credit card as they were checking in. The teen went to Walmart with the 18-year old and used the card to buy various items which added up to over $1,300.
The report said the 18-year old, identified as Zachary Rogers, was also charged with theft by deception, conspiracy and for fraudulent use of a credit card. He was detained without bail. The 17-year old was cited for theft by deception and was released to a parent.
