The 2nd annual Sip & Slur benefit 5K fun run is happening on Saturday and there is still time to get signed up.
The event, presented by Java Run, in partnership with the Josh Bidwell Foundation, will begin at the Java Run location on West Harvard in Roseburg. Race check-in begins at 4:00 p.m. with the race getting started at 6:00 p.m.
The route will venture through Roseburg, making stops at various local breweries as runners make their way to a fun block party at the end of the course, at the Java Run Express location on Diamond Lake Boulevard.
Proceeds will go to help Josh Bidwell Foundation scholarships for students affected with cancer. They will also help support a new program which provides seasonal local produce baskets for patients undergoing treatments at the Community Cancer Center in Roseburg.
Cost for registering is $35 and can be done on race day as well. On-line registration and more information are available at www.sipandslur.com.
