MAN JAILED FOLLOWING DISTURBANCE

A Roseburg man was jailed, following a disturbance at a residence in the 400 block of Northeast Hewitt on Thursday night.
Information from the Roseburg Police said at about 8:50 p.m. officers responded to the scene. The report said that during the disturbance the 32-year old man allegedly punched the victim in the face numerous times, drug her across the floor and then threatened her 2 different times, once with a knife and another time with lawn shears. The report said the victim had injuries that were consistent with the statements given.
The suspect was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, harassment and for 4th degree assault. He was initially detained on $58,750 bail.
