Congressman Peter DeFazio is holding a town hall meeting in Roseburg Friday afternoon.
The Springfield Democrat is in the midst of a series of meetings around the 4^th Congressional District while Congress is on its annual summertime break.
The focus of the Roseburg event is access to affordable care and the rising cost of prescription drugs. Part of the discussion will also be in regards to recent changes at the VA Roseburg Medical Center where the Emergency Department has closed and has been converted to an Urgent Care clinic.
The meeting begins at 2:00 p.m. in Centerstage Theatre at Umpqua Community College.
Prior to the town hall, DeFazio will be on Inside Douglas County at 12:30 p.m. on News Radio 1240 KQEN.
