PEDESTRIAN FROM PORTLAND IN SERIOUS CONDITION AFTER BEING HIT BY A VAN

A pedestrian from Portland is in serious condition at last check after being hit by a van in Roseburg on Tuesday night.
A report from the Roseburg Police said at about 9:15 p.m. 37-year old Caleb Ellenberger was struck while crossing Garden Valley Boulevard near Goetz. The report said the man was walking during a no walk sign, and was wearing dark clothing.
The victim suffered a skull fracture, several other fractures and internal injuries, but was initially listed in stable condition. He told authorities he wanted to return to Portland for further treatment. REACH flew the man to the Oregon Health Science University.
