The southbound ramps at the Harvard interchange with Interstate Five in Roseburg remain closed through Sunday.
Information from the Oregon Department of Transportation said traffic signals at both sides of the interchange are being replaced. The ramps and Bellows Street are being realigned as well. Work also includes adding turn lanes, replacing sidewalks and making other improvements to the area.
During the closure motorists traveling south on the freeway will continue to the fairgrounds exit and turn around to reach the northbound off-ramp at the Harvard interchange.
The south end of Bellows Street is also closed through Sunday. Residents of that street and the surrounding neighborhood must detour through the parking lot of Roseburg High School in order to get to and from West Harvard.
The ODOT release said pedestrians should watch for intermittent sidewalk closures throughout the work area. Alternate routes will be identified and marked.
