Roseburg Police are seeking the man suspected of committing an armed robbery at a business late Thursday night.
Sergeant Jeff Eichenbusch said at about 11:00 p.m. officers responded to a report that Renard’s, in the 2200 block of Stewart Parkway, had been robbed. Eichenbusch said the suspect had left the area on foot before police could arrive.
Eichenbusch said numerous officers canvassed the area, and were assisted by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, including K9 Grim. However, the suspect was not found.
An employee of the business, along with other witnesses described the robber as being a tall male, approximately 6 foot 2 to 6 foot 4, with a slender build and a bandana over his face. The suspect reportedly entered the business and walked to the register. He then pulled out a firearm and demanded money from an employee. The employee opened the register and gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money. Then he left the business, according to the witness statements.
Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to contact the Roseburg Police Department. The tip line number is 492-6794.
