JUVENILE CITED IN HIT AND RUN ACCIDENT

A juvenile was cited following a hit and run collision on Interstate Five near the Yoncalla/ Drain exit on Tuesday night.
A report from Oregon State Police said at shortly before 11:00 p.m. a 28-year old male driver reported that he was traveling southbound when he came up behind a car with no lights on. The driver’s vehicle hit the other car, causing heavy damage to both vehicles. The first driver said the operator of the other vehicle stopped briefly but then took off, without exchanging information.
The report said the second vehicle was found about 5 miles south of the crash scene but the driver was not cooperative. The vehicle did not have insurance and the license plates had been switched.
That driver was cited and released to an adult. The juvenile was cited for hit and run and reckless driving.
