3 people were hurt in a wreck on Old Highway 99 in Dillard on Tuesday afternoon.
Information from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at 2:40 p.m. an SUV was stopped at a crosswalk waiting for a pedestrian. The second driver apparently did not see that the other vehicle had stopped until it was too late. The second vehicle rear ended the first causing significant damage to the vehicle it hit. Both the driver and passenger in the first vehicle were taken to Mercy Medical Center on a discretionary trauma for neck and back injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle had a bruised shin and was feeling dizzy, so she was transported to Mercy as well.
The driver that caused the accident was cited for following too closely.
