A Myrtle Creek woman was taken to the hospital after a single vehicle wreck on Interstate Five in the Roberts Mountain area on Saturday afternoon.
A report from the Oregon State Police said at about 12:45 p.m. the driver of a northbound vehicle lost control of her car after taking evasive action to avoid a vehicle that was reportedly driving recklessly in front of her. The victim’s vehicle slid sideways before exiting the right shoulder of the roadway. It then traveled up an embankment, overturned, and came to rest on its roof in the righthand northbound lane of travel.
The driver sustained what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance. She has been identified as 58-year old Susan Sandoval and is listed in serious condition at last check. The report said the vehicle that was said to be traveling recklessly, did not stop and has not been located. It was reported to be a black Audi sedan.
