MAN HURT IN MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT

A Sutherlin man was hurt in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday morning.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said just before 7:00 a.m. a deputy and Sutherlin Police arrived on the accident scene in the 2100 block of South Side Road. The deputy reported he could see marks on the pavement where the 57-year old man slammed on his brakes. The motorcycle sustained minor damage.
The rider told the deputy that he tried to stop in order to miss a deer and dumped the motorcycle on its right side. He was taken to Mercy Medical Center to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
