2 COUNTY STUDENTS AWARDED FARM BUREAU SCHOLARSHIPS

2 Douglas County students are among 20 around the state receiving an Oregon Farm Bureau Memorial Scholarship.
OFB Memorial Scholarship coordinator Holly Michaels said the students come from all parts of Oregon. She said the group appreciates the contributions of donors and friends who make the program possible. The scholarship program is supporting students who are interested in careers in agriculture, forestry, or related fields.
Local winners include:
*Sarah Michaels is getting a $2,000 scholarship. She is studying nutrition and dietetics at the University of Idaho.
*Quaid Quisenberry will receive a $1,000 scholarship. Quaid is studying animal science at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in California.
The scholarship program has awarded $20,000 to students for the 2019/2020 academic year.
