Power crews are repairing damage to their infrastructure caused by the Milepost 97 Fire.
David Lucas, vice president of operations for Pacific Power said the utility is watching the fire closely and working with fire-fighting authorities. He said a few Pacific Power pole structures have been damaged by the fire, but that has caused no customer outages.
Lucas said the utility will continue to inspect its system to ensure reliability. He said Pacific Power is working with fire-fighting crews to ensure their ability to effectively do their jobs. He said working ahead of the fire, the utility is pruning back vegetation and wrapping structures in fireproofing material.
