The Milepost 97 Fire is 15% contained and just under 11,700 acres as of the last report.
Information from the Oregon Department of Forestry said the fire, burning south of Canyonville still threatens 586 structures. There have been 9 firefighter injuries. Over 1,350 personnel are working on the fire, including firefighters and other support staff. That includes 52 hand crews, 13 helicopters, 41 engines, 47 dozers and 22 water tenders.
