DFPA NOW AT IFPL III

July 30, 2019 3:40 a.m.
Industrial operators working on lands protected by the Douglas Forest Protective Association are now required to follow stricter fire regulations as Industrial Fire Precaution Level III has now gone into effect throughout the entire Douglas District.
Kyle Reed of DFPA said the change requires logging, road building, and other industrial operations working in forests and wildland areas to shut down most equipment by 1:00 p.m. Reed said the increase in industrial fire restrictions are necessary to prevent wildfires, as conditions across the district continue to deteriorate.
A detailed list of activities restricted under IFPL III can be found online: https://www.oregon.gov/ODF/Fire/Documents/2019%20IFPL.pdf.
