SPRINGFIELD MAN JAILED ON STOLEN VEHICLE CHARGES

A Springfield man was jailed on stolen vehicle charges Monday night.
A report from Myrtle Creek Police said a man was reported to be acting suspicious while at Seven Feathers. The man was seen leaving in a sedan that had been reported to be stolen out of Eugene. Officers with Myrtle Creek Police, along with deputies from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office located the vehicle heading northbound on Interstate Five, about 2 miles north of Myrtle Creek.
The report said that the driver and a passenger were taken into custody. The driver, 25-year old Charles Withrow was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and for possession of a stolen vehicle. He was detained on $100,000 bail.
The passenger was detained for 3 warrants that were out for his arrest.
