SHOTS FIRED AT GRANTS PASS CHURCH SUNDAY

Shots were fired at a Grants Pass church building on Sunday but no one was injured.
Information from the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety said a report of shots at Parkway Christian Center on Northeast Beacon Drive came in shortly before 10:30 a.m.
Public Safety Chief Warren Hensman said the shots are believed to have come from a vehicle driving by and were aimed at the church. They struck a window and a tree. The church was holding a service at the time of the incident. Information on the it’s Facebook page said the church and its children’s ministries went on lockdown.
Chief Hensman said there is no suspect description at this time. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety.
