Roseburg Public Schools Superintendent Jared Cordon will begin a series of listening sessions on Friday.
An RPS release said Cordon wants to gain input about the role the district plays in the community.
Sessions will be held at various times and locations around Roseburg. Cordon began work as superintendent on July 1st. The release said Cordon wants to learn more about the community and what people here value most about the district.
Cordon said “whether you have children in our schools or not, we need your feedback about how our district helps shape the identity of our community”. He said, “together we can create a district that reflects the pride we have in Roseburg while preparing our students for successful futures”.
The release said in addition to the listening sessions, the district will provide online surveys that community members can use to share their feelings and ideas.
The first listening session will be Friday at 8:00 a.m. at My Coffee on Garden Valley Boulevard. Additional sessions will be announced in the near future.
