PAVEMENT MANAGEMENT PROJECT UNDERWAY IN ROSEBURG

July 22, 2019 10:00 a.m.
The City of Roseburg’s annual citywide paving project began construction Monday.
A release from the City’s Public Works Department said work began with the installation of Americans with Disability Act ramp improvements on Alameda Street. Pedestrian and bike access will be maintained through alternative routes. Vehicular traffic will remain both ways along Alameda with intermittent closures at the Vine and Sunset intersections. That will require detours from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
These locations are included in the pavement management project and ramp improvements:
*Northeast Alameda from Northeast Vine to Northeast Sunset Lane
*Northeast Garden Valley from Northeast Stephens Street to Northeast Sunset Lane
*Southeast Main Street from Southeast Hawthorne Drive to South East Lane Street
*Aviation Drive from Northwest General Avenue to the Lowe’s entrance
Paving is expected to begin in late September and should continue for about a week.
The $847,000 construction contract was awarded to Knife River Materials.
