The Stewart Parkway paving project gets underway Sunday night.
A release from the City of Roseburg said grinding and paving operations will take place for four consecutive nights through Wednesday July 17th. Work hours are 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. and will be performed by Knife River Materials. Paving will be done from Edenbower Boulevard to Aviation Drive. The $565,000 project also includes the installation of 4 new Americans with Disability Act compliant sidewalk ramps plus storm drain improvements.
The release said nighttime paving work was scheduled to reduce traffic impacts to the community. Vehicular access will be limited to one lane directional traffic control with flaggers.
The Stewart Parkway paving project is the first of two paving operations this summer prioritized by traffic usage in the City’s pavement management plan.
