MAN CITED AFTER WRECK NEAR GLIDE

A Springfield man was cited on multiple charges following an accident near Glide on Tuesday night.
A report from the Oregon State Police said a trooper was dispatched to a reported wreck on Highway 138 East at about 6:30 p.m.
The report said an eastbound vehicle had crashed into the west bound guardrail causing damage. The vehicle had left the scene before the trooper arrived. Glide Fire notified dispatch that the vehicle had been driven to a residence in Glide. The report said the trooper located both the driver and the vehicle.
The report said the driver admitted to drinking and showed signs of impairment. The driver consented to field sobriety tests and showed more indications of impairment, according to the report. At the Douglas County Jail, the 32-year old man consented to a breath sample which resulted in a blood alcohol content reading of .20%.
The driver was cited for DUII alcohol, failure to perform the duties of a driver in an accident with property damage and for reckless driving. He was released after the citation was issued.
