Doss said the first fire crew to arrive on the scene took quick action to ensure that all the occupants were out of the residence. Fire crews were able to stop the spread of the fire in a timely fashion with the use of a single hose line.

DCFD2 and WDFD responded to the incident with two fire engines, one ambulance and two command units with a total of thirteen personnel. Doss said crews were unable to determine the cause of the fire.
