PHOENIX SCHOOL ANNUAL SPRING DINNER AND AUCTION IS SATURDAY

April 15, 2024 3;30 a.m.

The Annual Spring Dinner & Auction fundraiser at Phoenix School of Roseburg is this Saturday, April 20th at the school’s campus on Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard in Roseburg.

The Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe is the event title sponsor with Umpqua Bank as the school benefactor.

Executive Director Thomas McGregor said attendees can expect amazing food, fun entertainment and a live and silent auction. McGregor said Phoenix also recognizes individuals who are entering their Hall of Fame at the event. Annually the organization selects individuals to honor who have made a lasting and significant contribution to Douglas County youth with their “Community Champions of Youth Solutions” awards.

McGregor said Melanie Morrow will be recognized this year for her quarter century of service to thousands of students as a faculty member and program coordinator for Phoenix, operating the “Learning on Fast Track” or LOFT Program. Morrow has recently stepped away from the classroom due to medical issues but is planning on returning to the school soon.

Dinner will be catered by Lighthouse Center Oregon and the Phoenix School Culinary Program. The meal will feature a garden-fresh theme with vegan and gluten-free friendly options. Admission includes appetizers, a buffet dinner and multiple options for dessert. Live music will be provided by Blue Meridian and Phoenix Quorum. A no host bar will feature a selection of Umpqua Valley wine and craft beer.

Tickets are $50 per person or $90 per couple. With only availability for 175 guests, purchasing tickets in advance is highly recommended. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. This is a 21 and over only event.
