Roseburg Police jailed a man for a reported theft incident on Tuesday afternoon.

An RPD report said at 1:50 p.m. officers contacted the 22-year-old at Walmart in the 2100 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway, after he was detained by loss prevention employees. The suspect admitted to stealing approximately $200 in merchandise and was taken into custody without incident.

He was taken to corrections and charged with second-degree theft. Bail was set at $6,250.
