A rock slide closed one lane of Highway 38, nine miles west of Elkton, early Sunday.

Personnel with the Scottsburg Rural Fire Department responded to assist at a vehicle accident which happened after the rock slide.

Information from the Oregon Department of Transportation said crews worked to remove boulders and debris before repaving a section of the damaged highway. Flaggers directed traffic for several hours. The highway was fully reopened by around 5:00 p.m.
