The driver was hurt in a vehicle versus tree accident on Sunday.

A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at 11:30 p.m. the 29-year old swerved to miss a deer in the 14,000 block of Old Highway 99 South in the Myrtle Creek area. The crash occurred after the SUV left the roadway and happened on the front passenger side.

The report said the driver was transported to a hospital for evaluation.
