One driver was hurt in a four-vehicle wreck on Highway 38 between Scottsburg and Wells Creek on Thursday.

An Oregon State Police report said just after 6:40 p.m. a sedan was westbound when the driver was distracted by a young child in the back seat. The vehicle went head-on at an angle into another sedan. The first vehicle then spun around and side swiped an SUV that was in the eastbound lane. Then the first vehicle collided with a semi-truck and trailer before coming to rest in the westbound shoulder.

The driver of the second vehicle was transported to a hospital via ambulance and was later discovered to have a broken pelvis. No one else was injured. The first two vehicles had to be towed from the scene while the other two vehicles could be driven away
