A vehicle went into the ditch when the driver said he swerved to miss a fox along Highway 38 on Monday.

An Oregon State Police report said at about 4:15 p.m. troopers were sent to the wreck near Drain. The driver said the accident happened when the animal darted out in front of him. The vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage and the driver refused medical attention.

The vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
