The Riverbend Live! summer concert series is returning for its 25th season.
Concerts will be held every Friday night in July at Winston’s Riverbend Park. The lineup includes:
*July 2nd, its Marc Broussard, known for playing “Bayou Soul”, a mix of funk, blues, R&B, rock and pop
*July 9th its Ron Artis II and The Truth who play blues, jazz, flamenco and more
*July 16th it’s the annual night of cowboy poetry and western music with entertainers Dave Stamey and Chris Isaacs
*July 23rd and July 24th will be the Youth Theater production of “Firebringer”.
*July 30th the series concludes with The Daddies performing American swing and ska and more
Concerts begin at 7:00 p.m. Those attending should bring their own blanket or lawn chair. Food will be available but concert goers can bring their own dinner, along with wine or beer. It is a smoke-free venue.
Like most everything else in 2020, Riverbend Live! concerts did not happen though the series did offer a weekly radio program on News Radio 1240 KQEN and 104.5 SAM-FM featuring interviews and music from past Riverbend Live! artists.
