3 more people have died of COVID-19 in Douglas County, 9 more people have received new positive test results, and there is 1 new presumptive case, as of Thursday.

County Public Health Officer Dr. Bob Dannenhoffer said the 63rd death was a 76-year old man who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on January 19th and passed away on February 10th. The 64th death was a 90-year old woman who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on February 22nd and passed away on March 25th. The 65th death was a 77-year old woman who was diagnosed on December 26th and passed away on January 9th. Dannenhoffer said Douglas County was notified about these deaths by the State of Oregon Vital Records this week.

An update from the Douglas County COVID-19 Response Team said the total number of cases is now at 2,974. Of those, 2,830 are people that have received positive test results and 144 are presumptive. 6 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 3 locally and 3 outside the area. 98 people are in isolation. 261 people are in quarantine. That means the staff with the Douglas Public Health Network are supporting 359 people that are either in isolation or quarantine. That is the same number of people that it was on Wednesday.
