COVID-19 CLAIMS 10 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,204, AS OF THURSDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 10 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,204, as of Thursday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 553 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 154,554. The new cases include:

*75 in Jackson County

*66 in Multnomah County

*61 in Washington County

*58 in Marion County

*51 in Lane County

*46 in Clackamas County

*27 in Douglas County

*26 in Coos County

*17 in Umatilla County

*16 in Linn County

*14 Yamhill County

*13 in Josephine County

*12 each in Benton and Polk counties

*10 in Deschutes County

*9 in Jefferson County

*6 in Klamath County

*5 in Curry County

*4 each in Columbia, Malheur, and Union counties

*3 each in Lincoln, Morrow and Tillamook counties

*2 each in Baker, Crook, and Hood River counties

*1 each in Harney and Wasco counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 59 to 96. 2 each lived in Lane and Multnomah counties. 1 each lived in Douglas, Deschutes, Jackson, Jefferson, Klamath, and Marion counties.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 156, which is 6 fewer than on Wednesday. There are 38 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 8 fewer than on Wednesday.

OHA reported that 22,841 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 15,684 doses were administered on Wednesday. 7,157 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Wednesday.

Oregon has now administered a cumulative total of 881,206 first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 1,170,595 doses of vaccine have been delivered to sites across Oregon.
