MAN CITED, VEHICLE CRASHES AND BURNS

No one was hurt, but a driver was cited and his vehicle burned, following a single vehicle wreck on Highway 42 in the Camas Valley area on Tuesday night.

Information from Oregon State Police said at about 8:30 p.m. a van left the road and crashed into the westbound ditch. The report said the driver was removed from the vehicle and was found to be wearing body armor. The man had a felony record. He was charged with being a felon in possession of body armor, and the armor was seized.

The van caught fire and burned at the scene.
