7 MORE POSITIVE TEST RESULTS FOR COVID-19 IN DOUGLAS COUNTY AS OF SATURDAY

7 more people have received positive test results for COVID-19 in Douglas County, as of Saturday.

An update from the Douglas County COVID-19 Response Team said the total number of cases is now at 315. 282 are people that have received positive test results and 33 are presumptive. The update said the weekly total is 28 cases including 27 with positive test results and 1 that is presumptive. The current spike has seen 127 new cases since the week of September 13th.

There have been 4 deaths. 5 COVID-19 patients are being hospitalized. 1 county resident is being hospitalized out of the area and 3 county residents are hospitalized locally. A 5th patient if being hospitalized locally, but is not a Douglas County resident.

The Douglas Public Health Network is supporting 46 people in isolation and 129 that are in quarantine. Isolation is recommended for confirmed and presumptive cases, while quarantine is recommended for contacts of confirmed and presumptive cases.

14,653 people have tested negative for COVID-19 in the county.
