PORTION OF STEWART PARK DRIVE TO CLOSE FOR WATER MAIN WORK

September 27, 2019 3:45 a.m.
A portion of Stewart Park Drive will close for water main work during daytime hours, four days a week, for around a month.
A release from the City of Roseburg Public Works Department said starting on Monday the Roseburg VA Health Care System will begin installing a new water main. The project will take place on Stewart Park Drive between the train and the south entrance to the Roseburg VA. The work will close that section of the road between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. It will remain open all other hours. Project Manager Daryn Anderson said most of the work is along the road. He said pedestrians and bicyclists will still be able to travel on the multi-use path.
The release said the project is expected to be completed by Thursday October 31st.
The project is part of an infrastructure upgrade occurring inside the VA campus. Call the Public Works Department with questions at 492-6730.
