BREWFEST HAPPENING OCTOBER 12TH

Umpqua Watersheds is holding the 10th annual Umpqua Brewfest on Saturday October 12th.
FCR is the title sponsor for the event which will again take place at the Douglas County Fairgrounds from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Organizers bill the event as a “community celebration of clean water, craft beer, and sustainable living in southern Oregon’s hundred valleys of the Umpqua”.
Patrons will be able to taste craft beers, ciders, and meads from breweries throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Music will include Eugene group Fortune’s Folly, along with the Rovers and Dragons, and Ken Carloni. Wrappin and Rolling will be the featured food vendor.
The festival will also feature the Iron Chef Pairing, where four local breweries paired with food from local restaurants or food trucks will square off to create the best brew/food combinations. College football broadcasts will also be provided courtesy of Good Vibrations.
Admission to the 21 and over Brew Fest is $15. Admission includes a tasting glass and four tasting tickets. Local wine will also be for sale along with non-alcoholic beverages.
Registration is available now for volunteers. Those who work a shift receive a free admission, tasting glass, tickets and a t-shirt.
