A 60-year old man with no permanent address was jailed by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office on Monday afternoon on burglary and related charges.
A DCSO report said just after 4:00 p.m. a 49-year old man reported he had given the suspect some food earlier in the day, at his home on Main Street in Canyonville. Later that day after coming back home, the resident said the suspect was walking out of the his house with his lunch. The victim said he got a bowl back, but wanted to press charges because he did not give the suspect permission to enter his house.
The suspect was charged with first degree burglary, second degree criminal trespass and for third degree theft. He was released from custody on Tuesday morning.
