A Winter Weather Advisory remains in place for central Douglas County through 10:00 a.m. Monday morning.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford said a frontal system will bring snow to the mountains and lower passes along with the possibility of light snow to west side valley locations.
Snow levels are forecast to continue rising into the mountains through Tuesday morning. Then a wet frontal system will bring the potential for extremely heavy snow to the Cascades and Siskiyou’s Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday afternoon.
Snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches are expected through Monday morning for some areas above 1,500 feet. Some valley locations may get a light dusting of snow.
