A police investigation into a school shooting threat continues.
Detective Kevin Taggart of the Myrtle Creek Police said Thursday morning at about 9;40 a.m. police were called to Coffenberry Middle School for a reported threat. Taggart said it was discovered that someone had written a threat regarding a school shooting in a bathroom at Coffenberry.
Taggart said the school was placed on lockdown and an extensive search of the building was conducted. Taggart said after police and school officials determined there was no credible threat, the lockdown was lifted. Police interviewed numerous students Thursday and are talking to more on Friday.
