A rider was injured and his motorcycle was totaled in a hit and run crash at an intersection of Highway 42 in Green on Sunday night.
Information from Oregon State Police says the wreck happened at about 9:30 p.m. The motorcyclist told a trooper that he was going through the intersection on a green light when a passenger vehicle pulled out in front of him. The motorcycle hit the passenger side of the vehicle, causing the rider to fall off his bike. The victim had minor injuries but said the bike was destroyed. The victim said the car left the area at a high rate of speed and headed northbound on Interstate Five.
The OSP report says a deputy with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office located the suspect vehicle later but there was no one inside or around the passenger car.
