The City of Roseburg Fire Department, in cooperation with the Hanna Limited Partnership, will conduct live fire training on Saturday.
From 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. the live fire burning exercises will be conducted at the former site of Mulholland Auto Repair at 1650 Northwest Mulholland. The final burn is dependent upon the structural integrity of the building after the training burns. This is tentatively planned for Sunday morning, but it may occur on the day of the training burn.
The Roseburg Fire Department will be assisted by Bay Cities Ambulance for rehabilitation support, the Oregon Department of Transportation for reader boards, and the City of Roseburg Public Works Department.
A press conference to explain more about the training and to express gratitude to the Hanna family for their commitment to public safety training will be held at the proposed site of the training burn, on Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m.
