A Roseburg woman is in the Douglas County Jail following a dispute in downtown Roseburg on Monday afternoon.
A Roseburg Police report says the 47 year old woman allegedly threw multiple large rocks at another woman’s car at around 4:20 p.m. The rocks caused damage to the rear trunk lid of the victim’s car. The suspect admitted to police that she had gotten into that vehicle earlier in the day to grab a blanket that she claimed was hers.
Melinda Alexander was charged with second degree criminal mischief and two counts of unlawful entry into a motor vehicle.
She is being held on $13,750 bail. The incident took place on Southeast Rose Street.
