Moderate to heavy snow is expected Tuesday morning in some mountain areas of southern Oregon.
The National Weather Service has a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 11:00 a.m. Between four and eight inches of snow is forecast for Crater Lake, Diamond Lake, and other parts of the Southern Oregon Cascades and the Siskiyou Mountains. The Crater Lake rim could see up to a foot of new snow.
Travel may be difficult due to snow covered roads and limited visibilities. This includes all the highways around both Crater Lake and Diamond Lake. Drivers should carry chains and allow extra time to reach their destination.
