The City of Roseburg is now accepting applications from non-profit organizations interested in receiving some financial assistance during the 2016-2017 fiscal year.
Information from city staff says that budgetary projections for the upcoming budget show that General Fund expenditures will exceed General Fund revenues but will not require a reduction in staff. That means non-profit organizations may formally apply for up to $10,000 in financial assistance from the City for operational or capital expenditures.
To be eligible an organization must be a recognized non-profit group whose proposed programs directly benefit the City of Roseburg and its residents.
Application forms and complete information are available at www.cityofroseburg.org. Completed applications with all required attachments must be submitted to the city manager’s office by April 15th.
Applications will be considered by a subcommittee of the City of Roseburg Budget Committee during the last two weeks of April with a recommendation forwarded to the full city budget committee during the May budget hearings. Funds awarded will be processed after July first.
Call the City Manager’s Office if you have questions. The number is 492-6866.
