A Canyonville man went to jail after incidents that started at a Myrtle Creek restaurant on Friday night.
A report from Myrtle Creek police says officers were called to a disturbance at the restaurant at about 9:15 p.m. The 24 year old man was reportedly fighting with another person before he left and reportedly drove his vehicle through a fence and into a tree in the 200 block of Waite Street.
When police arrived, the man was said to be walking away from the crash. An investigation ensued and he was taken into custody. At the Myrtle Creek Police office he reportedly provided a blood alcohol level of .16 which is twice the legal limit. He was taken to Douglas County Corrections where he allegedly caused another disturbance while being taken inside. Blake Cupp was charged with failure to perform the duties of a driver, second degree criminal mischief, second degree disorderly conduct, and for DUII alcohol. He has since been released from custody.
