Rogue Credit Union has reached a major milestone, now serving 100,000 members across southern Oregon.
The 100,000th member is Kelly Hink, who lives in Roseburg, site of the company’s newest location. Hink was recognized at Rogue’s recent Annual Meeting of the Members. At that meeting, Hink was joined by Rogue’s first member, Curtis Kinney. Kinney helped to start Rogue Credit Union in 1956 and served as its first treasurer.
A press release from the institution says it has experienced substantial membership growth, well outpacing national averages. President and CEO Gene Pelham says that serving over 100,000 members is a “tremendous milestone for Rogue Credit Union”.
Rogue Credit Union is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative with an asset base of over $1 billion and a loan portfolio of over $850 million.
