An elderly couple from Days Creek was hurt when the SUV they were riding in hit a tree on Tiller Trail Highway at the intersection with Days Creek Road on Wednesday afternoon.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says the 75 year old male driver lost control of his vehicle at about 12:45 p.m. The report says the vehicle crossed over onto the shoulder and hit a tree. It then landed on its side with both occupants trapped. Fire and ambulance extricated the driver and his 79 year old wife.
They were taken to Mercy Medical Center for minor injuries. They were treated and released.
