One person was hospitalized following a three car accident at the corner of Garden Valley and Stewart Parkway in Roseburg on Tuesday morning.
A report from the Roseburg Police says a 63 year old woman was traveling west on Garden Valley at about 9:00 a.m. The report says a 51 year old man waiting to turn east said it appeared the first driver was suffering from a medical condition as she was slumped to her left side while still driving. The first vehicle hit the right front corner of the bumper of the vehicle belonging to the witness before it traveled into the next lane and struck a car operated by a 32 year old woman.
The first car hit had minimal damage but the second vehicle that was hit suffered heavy front end damage and had to be towed away.
The police report said the first driver remained unresponsive and appeared to still be suffering from a medical issue. That driver was taken to Mercy Medical Center where she is listed in fair condition.
The accident clogged the busy intersection for a time before it could be cleaned up.
