Six people were cited for prohibited camping by Roseburg Police in three incidents between Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning.
A report from RPD says Tuesday night at about 8:30 p.m. two people were found in a tent at the corner of Lane and Jackson downtown. The 38 year old man and the 37 year old woman were also issued City Exclusion Notices. It was the man’s third notice and the second one for the woman. They were told to take down the tent, which they did before moving along.
At about 3:15 a.m. Wednesday morning, three men, ages 47, 48 and 51 were found asleep under bedding in the 300 block of Northeast Stephens. The report says the area was covered in trash and was only about 50 yards from Deer Creek. They were also cited for depositing trash within 100 yards of a waterway.
At about 3:45 a.m. a 39 year old man was found sleeping in a tent at the corner of Hoover and Arizona, along the riverbank.
