Six people were cited for prohibited camping by the Roseburg Police in five incidents on Thursday night.
A report from RPD says one person was even cited twice. The Roseburg Police log says at about 9:45 p.m. a 41 year old man was spotted camping near the river off of Southeast Washington. About twenty minutes later a 61 year old man was contacted while sleeping underneath the Deer Creek Bridge near the corner of Fowler and Diamond Lake Boulevard. A few minutes after that, a 57 year old woman was found sleeping with a blanket, under a tarp near Northwest Edenbower. At about 10:40 p.m. a 56 year old man was found sleeping in a sleeping bag under a bridge near the 400 block of southeast Spruce. Fifteen minutes later three people were contacted near the entrance to K-Mart where a camp had been set up. The group included a 36 year old man, a 56 year old man and the 57 year old woman from the earlier call.
All those people found camping were cited and released by Roseburg Police.
