Two men went to jail after a car window was punched out on Wednesday.
A report from the Roseburg Police says a Glide woman was driving southbound on Winchester Street. She was waiting for a light to change so she could turn left onto Diamond Lake Boulevard. As she was waiting, the report says that 29 year old Joseph Abreau was allegedly jaywalking across Winchester and paused long enough to punch the rear window out on the woman’s SUV. He then continued walking with his friend 40 year old David Hamilton.
Several officers contacted the men on the bike path. Both were subdued after a struggle and were taken into custody. Joseph Abreau was initially charged with second degree counts of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct along with resisting arrest, and for a warrant. Hamilton was charged with interfering with a police officer, resisting arrest, and for a parole violation.
